Loretta Devine Returns To Talk About Adele

Devine played Adele in the hit TV show Grey’s Anatomy. She has been the wife of Richard (James Pickens) up until season nine, who later on died of a heart attack after her surgery.

“It was very important to me to have her feel and act a little lifted. Just a little stuck up, maybe you would say,” Devine stated. “Everything pulled together, the scarf, the earrings, everything had to look flawless. And she was always very well spoken and likeable.”

The actress was nominated for two Emmys for Grey’s Anatomy and won Outstanding Guest Actress in 2011.

Devine also talked about her marriage as she said, “There were all things going on that you would never imagine when she floats into the room and takes control of him and everything around him.”
