The Walking Dead Hits Its Lowest Ratings

The show is in its 8th season and has some incredible storylines, but the audience doesn't seem overly impressed by what the show is offering. Sunday nights episode which titled "The Damned" didn't seem to went all out with the audience. The show was filled with action and was based up on a group of Alexandrians led by Aaron executed an assault on Negan's sanctuary, as they got caught up in a gun battle with a group of Savior's,trying to teach them the real way to incorporate walkers into a battle plan. The show even brought back a character who we haven't seen since the first season aired back in 2010. But that wasn't enough for the audience as the episode turned into the lowest rating since season 2.

The Walking Dead is known for picking up high viewership but failed to do that on Sunday. The episode called "The Damned" only picked up 8.92 million viewers, a big fell off comparing to its 17.6 million viewers in season seven.

"Still, in more or less exactly a year, The Walking  Dead has lost almost half its viewership (47%), going from that huge premiere to this five year low." Forbes stated.
