Is Thatcher Grey returning to Grey's Anatomy?

For all the new fans of the hit medical drama series Grey's Anatomy that don't know who Thatcher Grey is, he's actually the father of Meredith, Lexie and Molly Grey. Thatcher made his first appearance in season 2 and later on departed from the show in season 7. Thatcher wasn't really a fan favourite of the show, most fans are still upset about him smacking Meredith in the face and not apologising to her.

It seems as if he will return to Grey's Anatomy,because in the trailer we saw Meredith going inside her house and she saw him sitting in a chair and it seems as if she was shocked. Many fans thought that Thatcher was dead, but it seems as if he's alive and well. Let's kick back and wait for Thursday night's episode to see what will happen.
