Chicago police officers are seeking a follow up interview with Empire actor Jussie Smollett amid reports he may have faked his hate crime assault.

Smollett who plays the role of Jamal Lyon in the hit musical drama series Empire, recently told police that he was attacked by two masked men who yelled homophobic and racial slurs to him on January 29th.

Smollett claimed that they tied a rope around his neck, struck him in the face and then doused him with unknown chemical substance before taking off.

Did Smollett faked this?

Amid said that Smollett planned all of this incident, because he feared getting written out of the television series 'Empire'.

Two Nigerian brothers was caught on surveillance camera and was detained by the police for attacking Smollett, however the brothers who was caught are good friends of Smollett in fact one of them was a extra in the show and the other is Smollett's personal trainer who was hired by Smollett to help him get ready for a music video shoot.

The brothers were released by the police without being charged and now police seeks to interview Smollett.
