If you watched the hit medical show Grey's Anatomy, you'll remember Derek and Meredith as one of the best couples on the show.

McDreamy (Derek) and Meredith shared a romantic, toxic, and heartwarming relationship on the show. The two were married and had three children together.

They met at a bar and had a one-night stand, only to find out that she's an intern at Seattle Grace. Feelings started to develop between the two, but caused a lot of complications after Dr. Miranda, Meredith's supervising resident, found out about their relationship.

 

Meredith was accepted by Derek's family, except his sister Nancy, who hated Meredith and called her "the slutty intern". Their relationship had its ups and downs, but they ended up getting married.

Unfortunately, Derek died in season 11, after being involved in a fatal car accident. It's still one of the saddest scenes in Grey's Anatomy. As time passed, Meredith fell in love a few times, most of which didn't work out.
