It’s been months since Netflix uploaded a trailer showing fans that Cobra Kai will be renewed for a sixth season, which will be the final season of the show. However, due to the long wait, fans are getting impatient and wondering if the show has been cancelled, and the creators are afraid to let us know.
Like other shows, Cobra Kai participated in the WGA strike, which caused writers to put their pens down. However, recently, Cobra Kai’s co-creator Jon Hurwitz went on X (formerly known as Twitter) to let fans know how excited he was to start working on Cobra Kai once again. This had fans tweeting and celebrating, until Jon said that production isn’t out of the woods yet after a fan asked about the actors and when they would get back in the dojo.
"I can't get back on set yet, but I can get back to writing the moment the guild says the word, “he answered to a comment on X. “Rooting for a quick resolution for SAG!
This response had some fans wondering if the show has been cancelled and creators are afraid to speak about it, while others are keeping their fingers crossed and waiting on Netflix to release an official season 6 trailer.
Many articles have been speculating, saying that season 6 will come out this year, from early 2024 to late 2024, but sadly, neither the writers nor Netflix have confirmed that. We just know that there will be a season 6, so until then, continue to enjoy the old Karate Kid movies that are available to watch on Netflix.
