So by now, every Avatar Last Airbender fan has seen both the 2010 and 2024 versions of the show.
Fans are already saying that the 2024 series is way better than the 2010 movie; however, some fans think that the movie is more realistic.
The 2010 movie was a big disappointment to die-hard Avatar fans and was mediocre, seeing a group of earth benders struggling to bend a single rock. The Avatar was called Ong instead of Aang, a lot of scenes were left out, and the characters didn’t look like the same ones from the original show.
Now the 2024 version is a great watch but is a bit confusing at times. However, the characters and bending are great, even though fans think that Sokka could have been a bit more funny and the fighting scenes need improvement, especially the slow motions.
The Ong-Ong character in the 2010 version was a disappointment. The actor was good, but the name, bending, fighting, and outfit were just off. The arrow, however, was detailed, but the character overall wasn’t.
The premise remains largely intact; the show takes place in an Asian pre-industrial world where a select few “benders” have the power to manipulate one of the four elements, which are water, earth, fire, and air. Only one person, the Avatar, can master all forms of bending, and throughout history, each of their reincarnations has been tasked with keeping the peace.
